St Paul's Cray
1160
Although inscribed with the location and dated, this study of the streetscape and St Paulinus Church, St Paul's Cray, in Kent, is unsigned. It has lost some colour in the sky, but the rich sepia hues and use of penwork and white heightening are a little reminiscent of an artist working locally, Samuel Palmer, and his followers.
The addition of a covered wagon and figure on the road provides additional interest.

1837
