'Hexagon' was one of the wallpaper designs produced as the Great Bardfield series by John Aldridge and Edward Bawden from the 1930s to the 1950s, which were hand printed in distemper from lino blocks by Cole & Sons.
Other colourways known include white, yellow and olive on a terracotta ground (V&A Collection) and sage/grey and black (?) (Fry Art Gallery). A further length is in the Whitworth Art Gallery.
