The Old George Inn, Salisbury
The Old George Inn, Salisbury
The present work is the original finished drawing for the photo-lithographic print in Old English Inns, published by William Heinemann in 1921. It depicts the Grade 1 listed Old George Inn, dating back to the 14th century and situated in the centre of Salisbury. The building still stands, with the entrance to a shopping mall running through its ground floor, and its upper floor in use as a cafe-retaurant.
