Shoreham
Shoreham
Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson ARA
(attributed to)
1114
Some of Nevinson's later work depicts scenes in Sussex in traditional style, and this pen and ink drawing may be a sketchbook study made in the county, in Shoreham. Certainly, the drawing of the chimneys and other elements is characteristic of the artist's later work. However, the inscription on the back of the drawing is not necessarily in Nevinson's hand, and for this reason, the drawing is listed here as attributed to, rather than by, the artist.
