Boats Drawn up on a Beach

Boats Drawn up on a Beach

£400

This large and freely painted, unattributed mid- to late-20th-century study of boats drawn up on a beach, perhaps at Aldeburgh in Suffolk, has in the past been attributed to Humphrey Spender. If the scene is a free interpretation of the buildings on Albeburgh's Crag Path, it would quite probably have been made near what became the Peter Pears Gallery, where Humphrey Spender's work has been shown.
