EXHIBITIONS Possibly the exhibition of watercolours and drawings by Modern Artists loaned by Wyndham Theodore Vint at Brighton Public Art Galleries, 8 May to 2 June 1937, which included four McEvoys. Of these 32, Landscape or 33 Water-colour sketch might be the present work Probably no.171, Society of Painters in Water-Colours, 1826 (purchased for 6 gens. by Lord C. Townsend).
Condition There is a small hole beneath the feet of the male figure There is some fading and restoration in the sky, where spotting has been repaired, but otherwise the colours are strong.
